Anyone planning a trip to or from Everett is likely to pass through Everett Station. One of Washington's most bustling transportation hubs, Everett Station is also the site of an education center and various community meetings.

Greyhound, Amtrak, Skagit Transit, Island Transit, Sound Transit, and Northwest Trailways all offer their service out of Everett Island. Both Amtrak's Empire Builder service, which provides transportation between Seattle and Chicago, and Amtrak's Cascade line, with service from Eugene, Oregon to Vancouver, British Columbia, pass by this station. Sound Transit is in charge of operating the commuter rail, which provides a quick alternative to reaching Seattle from the suburbs.

All of the bus services operate out of a terminal at the southern end of the station itself. Each different local bus line stops by the service, and intercity buses also depart from Everett Station.

Travelers who are going to be spending some time at Everett Station waiting for a bus or train can spend their time at a small cafe, or in the waiting area. There's usually some sort of art exposition on in the public spaces, too. Hours depend on what events are scheduled, and on the hours of the train and bus lines.
