Fairview Winery & Cheese is a manufacturer located on the western slopes of the mountain range in Paarl, South Africa. It has a land area of 320 hectares where 120 hectares of these are vineyards.

Fairview Winery & Cheese started as a simple farm in 1963 – a grant from Simon van der Stel the Governor of Cape and the founder of Africa’s winelands. The property was first named as Bloemkoolfontein but was changed to Fairview by the end of the 19th century.

Wine was first produced in 1699; the first produce was the Cinsaut variety. More varieties were added as the farm grew. Today, it has several varieties of white and red wines. Some of these are the Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier Special Late Harvest, Chardonnay, Primo Pinotage, and Merlot. Cheese was first produced in 1980 with Saanen milking goats and came later the addition of Jersey cattle.

Today, Fairview Winery & Cheese offers daily tours with tasting rooms for its wine and cheese products.
