Fernsehturm Stuttgart

Completed in 1956 the Fernsehturm Stuttgart (TV Tower of Stuttgart) was the first TV tower in the world to be made of
concrete.

While it offers a view of the city below the Fernsehturm Stuttgart is not a major tourist attraction as much as a
historical landmark. It is located in the city of Stuttgart noted for its numerous attractions (including the State Museum
of Württemberg)  and for being one of Germany’s safest cities.

As the tower is not a major tourist destination the majority of the hotels are around two kilometers to the north.

Some of these hotels include the Waldhotel Degerloch and the Hotel Seybold are available starting at US$70 a night.
