The Aarhus Art Building is a modern art centre intending to function as a seismograph for current tendencies in the art world.
The Aarhus Art Building has about 1000 square metres of spacious and bright exhibition halls; it is one of Denmark’s largest and most beautiful venues for contemporary art. There are various exhibition program that covers thematic exhibitions, solo exhibitions, special exhibitions for children and young people including dialogue exhibitions between Danish and foreign artists. Fields that are covered are sculpture, painting, installations, performance, photography, film and video the whole field of contemporary art is presented.
Facilities in the Aarhus Art Building include a cloakroom, handicap toilet, changing table and an elevator to the lower level. Guided tours for up to 25 persons may be arranged. The tours are conducted by students from The Institute of Art History at The University of Aarhus or by the professional staff at The Aarhus Art Building.

Tuesday - Sunday: 10.00 - 17.00
Wednesday: 10.00 - 21.00
Monday: closed

Admission Fees:
Adults: DKK 45,-
Senior citizens, students and groups (min. 10 persons): DKK 25,-
Children under 15: free
