The Hank Williams Museum, located at 118 Commerce Street in Montgomery, Alabama, is dedicated to the life of the artist, a forefather of country music and Alabama native. Williams was born in 1923, and got his first guitar when he was 8. Influenced by local blues singers and guitarists, he eventually started a band called the Drifting Cowboys, and eventually signed a recording contract with MGM Records. Songs such as “Honky Tonkin,” “I'm a Long Gone Daddy,” and “Lovesick Blues” became chart-toppers, and earned Williams a national reputation. The museum houses an extensive collection of Hank Williams memorabilia, include his baby blue Cadillac, portraits, clothing, albums and records, lyrics, and a Gibson steel guitar.

Museum hours run from Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4:30 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm. Admission prices are $8 for people aged 12 and up, and $3 for children aged 3-11.
