Flamingo International Airport (BON) is the Netherlands Antilles’ third largest airport and dates back to 1945, when U.S. soldiers redesigned the smaller air strip on the same site. It is located in Kralendijk, Bonaire and is sometimes known as Bonaire airport.

Airlines operating out of BON include Continental with service to its Houston hub, Delta to New York’s JFK and ATL, Insel to Caribbean destinations and Miami and KLM with service to Amsterdam and Guayaquil.

Recent renovations in the airport have left a modern influence on the facility. Modern restaurants and shopping are available, with perfume shops, ATM machines and souvenir stands located throughout the concourses. Short and long term parking is available in the airport. There are several car rental companies located in ground transportation. Taxi service can also be found next to baggage claim.
