Previously known as the Orlando Stadium, the Tangerine Bowl, and the Citrus Bowl, the Florida Citrus Bowl is one of Orlando, Florida's main football stadiums. It has a seating capacity of approximately 70,000 people. The Florida Citrus Bowl was home to the UCF Golden Knights football team from 1979-2006. Today it serves as host for the Florida Classic, which takes place annually between Florida A & M and Bethune-Cookman. The Florida Citrus Bowl also hosts the MEAC/SWAC Challenge annually. It was originally built in 1936 and has since undergone numerous expansions and renovations to enlarge its seating capacity and increase the array of amenities it offers.
