Accomplishing exactly that, the nearly 600,000 square-foot complex is still undergoing constant improvements with plans underway for new restaurants, culbs, consession areas, roof top gardens, team offices and a family fun zone. Owned by the City of Oklahoma City, the Ford Center is home to the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA basketball team, and has served as home to the Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League, Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz of arena football 2, and the New Orleans Hornets. Other events include concerts, shows and entertainment programs. Located in Oklahoma City’s Bricktown downtown district, the Ford Center is nearby attractions like the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, the Bricktown Mosaic Murals, the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center, the Myriad Botanical Gardens, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the Oklahoma City National Memorial, as well as ample shopping, dining, entertainment and nightlife venues.
