Fortaleza Port – Mucuripe, is a port in the northwest coast of Brazil, in the city of Fortaleza. Built in the 1950s to accommodate Fortaleza's burgeoning shipbuilding trade sector, the current modern port actually has predecessors which date back to 1870. The port area has undergone numerous add-ons and reconstruction, including the addition of the bridges “Ponte dos Ingleses” and “Ponte Metalica.” In 1910, a port structure improvement project began, and in the 1920s and 1930s many regional engineering studies and projects centered on the rapidly growing port area. The port today is a docking area for local fishing traders and merchants.

Visitors to the area can find lodging at the local Brasil Tropical or the Golden Tulip Iate Plaza.
