In a rolling rural setting on the Cherry Creek just 4 miles from the City of Denver, Colorado, is the12-acre homestead of Four Mile Historic Park. The Park is home to metropolitan Denver's oldest house, built in 1859, which was a stage stop, wayside inn, and tavern for those traveling the Cherokee Trail, passing through to Denver City. Now, the Four Mile Historic Park is a museum featuring pioneer exhibits, summer camp, and events center, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Four Mile Historic Park is open from 12pm to 4pm Wednesday through Friday, and 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Admission prices, which include a tour, are $3.50 for adults, $2 for seniors and kids, and free for children under six. The Park hosts a variety of events, lectures and exhibits throughout the year, like the annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival, with a full schedule available on the official website at: http://www.fourmilepark.org/.
