Known fundamentally for being the main home venue of the Utah Symphony and Opera, the Abravanel Hall at the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts is located at 123 West South Temple roughly in the center of Salt Lake City. Building on the Abravanel Hall finished in 1979 and first opened to the public as the Symphony Hall, later being renamed following a 1998 expansion. The present seating capacity of the Abravanel Hall is 2,811 persons. The customized music hall, in rectangular shape and with an excellent low-lying stage is among the most exceptional performance chambers in the world, and shows there are a real treat well worth the cost of a ticket.
