The Frick Art & Historical Center was constructed by Helen Clay Frick in 1970 as a way for her to publicly display her private art collection. The Clayton estate is also now open to the public and nearly 100,000 people visit each year to get a peek into the lives of how the Frick family lived nearly a century ago.

Henry Clay Frick was a Pennsylvanian industrialist who worked side-by-side with Andrew Carnegie. Visitors to the Frick Historical Center can tour the Art Museum, Car and Carriage Museum and the Greenhouse at no charge.
