Dallas, Texas has a wide variety of attractions, from the aquarium to the arts district. One of the more science-oriented museums that draws visitors is The Frontiers of Flight Museum. Dedicated to aerospace mechanics and travel, The Frontiers of Flight Museum has been around since 1988. Since its inception, the museum has moved from a small terminal down at Dallas Love Field to its own gigantic building, located at the corner of Dallas Love Field.

Technically, the museum was founded by William E. Cooper, Jan Collmer, and Kay Bailey Hutchison, but the inspiration for the museum's creation was a generous donation by George E. Haddaway, a prominent southern aviation historian. The museum includes a great deal of Haddaway's personal collection, including journals, photographs, and history books.

It's not all books and photographs at The Frontiers of Flight Museum. Younger visitors will be blown away with the collection of World War II aircraft models, a full-size World War I biplane, and a number of different artifacts from The Hindenburg. A number of traveling exhibitions also find their way to The Frontiers of Flight Museum, including traveling exhibitions from The Smithsonian Institution.

The Frontiers of Flight Museum is open Monday through Saturday from ten in the morning until five in the afternoon, and on Sundays from one until five in the afternoon. A number of hotels are close to Love Field, including The Executive Hotel Love Field, The Love Field Inn, and The Holiday Inn Select Love.
