Hotels near Fullerton College, Fullerton, United States .

Few community colleges can boast the cultural relevance and history that Fullerton College in California can offer. Founded in 1913, it is the oldest the oldest continuously operating community college in California, and was originally named Fullerton Junior College, but changed its name in 1972 to the one that is used today. But it took more than 20 years for the first building to be completed on campus, which was the commerce building, now known as the Business and Computer Information Building in 1936. In 1977, it was declared an Orange County Historical Site. Its 83 acre campus is located in downtown Fullerton, in metropolitan Orange County and has a current enrollment of 22,014.

The school boasts twenty-five musical performance groups, a playwrights festival, a jazz festival, and a permanent art collection. No wonder it offers a variety of degrees and certificates in the arts, as Hollywood is not far away. The Weekly Hornet, the college newspaper, has been in uninterrupted publication for the past 76 years. Guided tours of the campus are offered from September through May, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10 am and 3 pm and must be scheduled no less than two weeks in advance. General tours last approximately one hour, however, groups may request to visit specific areas of campus.

Nearby places to stay include Holiday Inn Fullerton and the Days Inn Hotel, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Fullerton.
