The largest and most visited mall in Quebec City, the Galeries de la Capitale was completed in 1981 in the Lebourgneuf neighborhood of Les Rivieres. The 1.5 million square foot facility today boasts 280 stores, 35 restaurants, and le Mega Parc amusement park.

Anchor stores of Galeries de la Capitale include Sears, la Baie, Zellers, Simons, Hart, IMAX, and Cinema Fortune. The IMAX theater in the mall has the largest screen in Canada, and le Mega Parc amusement park is comprised of 20 attractions and rides, as well as a hockey rink. Additionally, Rona L’entrepot is located in the parking lot of the mall. The Galeries de la Capitale are just a short drive from the center of Quebec City, and easily accessible from Highway 40 and Highway 740.

The Galeries de la Capitale are located at 5401 Boulevard des Galeries in Quebec City, and the mall includes plentiful on-site parking for visitors free of charge. Hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until 5:30 P.M., Thursday and Friday from 9:30 A.M. until 9 P.M., Saturday from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M., and Sunday from 10 A.M. until 5 P.M.
