Gara Baneasa

Baneasa station is a small station of the district Baneasa, in the city of Bucharest, Romania. Before the '50 it was used as a royal station. After 1950 the station is used by authorities as a protocol station for "presidential trains" of the heads of state in Romania as well as to receive foreign officials.

Currently the station is only occasionally used for railway passenger traffic, especially during summer when two pairs of trains start running on the seasonal routes. In 2007 the station was temporarily closed due to ongoing work at the Pan European corridor IV (Arad-Constanta segment).

Baneasa station is located near Villa Minovici and Mioritza Fountain.
