The Kirschgarten

The Kirschgarten is located in the city of Meinz, Germany. The name is translated as Cherry Garden and with its romantic half-timbered houses and Marian-Fountain this area counts as one of Mainz’s most beautiful little squares. Little remain of the cherry orchard from which it got its name, only a cherry tree stump which can be found at the Zum Beymberg bakery, House no.19.

The unmistakable charm of this little part of Old Town in addition to the architectural range of buildings and the pretty, decorated shops within this historical ambience is augmented by the fountain which was built in 1932 in the style of a flowing Baroque fountain.

Accommodation in the area can be found in hotels like Hilton Mainz City, City-Hotel Neubrunnenhof with prices starting from 50 euros.
