The Brest station, built in 1936 and 1937 by Urbain Cassan in Art Deco style, is a train station overlooking the bay of Brest, in the city of Brest, France. The bas-relief granite rose that adorns the tower of which only the lower part has remained, represents subjects evoking Britain (sculptor Lucien Brasseur)
The first station was opened April 25, 1865 after construction of the viaduct in Morlaix. A trip to Paris then lasted 18 hours. This train-terminal is served by both the TER Région Bretagne (Brittany B) and more recently TGV (Paris Gare Montparnasse link) performing this route in 4 hours. The closest airports to the station are: Guipavas and Pluguffan.
