The station of Grenoble-Universités-Gières is a multimodal rail station located on the French commune de Gier (Department of Isère) in the town of Grenoble in Dauphiné and the Rhône-Alpes.

The train station of Grenoble-Universités-transit Gières sees 2000 passengers .It is an intermodal center near line B Tramway Grenoble (daily except for the 1st May) There is a deposit for bicycles for subscribers (bike-station) and bike parking. To get to downtown Gières, one must use line 6070 towards Versoud (Monday to Friday only), with TAG billetery allowed.
In September 1991, the line section of Grenoble Gières was electrified, with funding from the General Council of Isère, to allow the extension of some suburban trains Rives - Grenoble. Due to the spectacular development of this station, it was converted September 29, 1996 in the second station of the Grenoble area and renamed Grenoble-Universités-Gier.
