The multimodal station Lyon Perrache is situated in the city of Lyon, in the neighborhood Perrache, France. The meeting of different means of transport such as trains, subways, trams and buses, and its strategic location in the city of Lyon at the junction of the A6 and A7 make it a major center of trade or an exchange pole of Greater Lyon and the Rhône-Alpes.
The Perrache train station was built in 1855 by architect Francis Alexis on behalf of Compagnie des Chemins de Fer de Paris and was inaugurated after eighteen months of work in June 2, 1857. In the 1970s, a clearing house was built north of the station according to the plans of the modernist architect René Gages, to accommodate vehicles of passengers. Historically, the station was the first of the town, built by the company's PLM on the Paris-Lyon-Marseille.

The station now provides: 319 train departures per day and 25 000 passengers per day according to the 2006 statistics. The station provides ticket machines, bicycle lockers, bicycle and unguarded car parking as well a bus station and many shops located inside the station building.
