The Estação do Oriente (Orient Station), also known as East Intermodal Station is one of the most important railway stations in Lisbon, Portugal. It was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The works ended in 1998, to be used as part of Expo '98 Parque das Nações. The complex includes an underground station on the first two levels and a retail space and a train station on the following two levels. The building is covered by a large glass roof. Being visible from all sides, the image of the Estação do Oriente is undoubtedly the cover glass (like a palm crystal) of the upper station.

Orient Station will be expanded by 2015 to accommodate the new high speed trains that will be running towards Madrid (via a new bridge over the Tagus River) and Porto. The closest airport to the station is Portela, located 2.9 km away.

Lisbon Oceanarium, Feira Internacional de Lisboa, Lisbon Casino, Atlantic Pavilion are just a few of the most beautiful sites and most popular touristic attractions located around the Orient Station, that lure thousands of tourists to this place every year. There are two great shopping areas located nearby: Vasco da Gama Shopping Center and Parque das Nações.
