Owned and operated by The University of Arkansas, Garven Woodland Gardens have been a staple of outdoor life in Hot Springs for over 30 years. The land that the gardens currently occupy were originally part of the estate of The Cook Family, well-known in Arkansas for their successful lumber business.

The gardens themselves are a beautiful combination of flowers and plants from all over the world. There's also a great view of the lake, a very famous wooden chapel that's perpetually booked for weddings, and any number of special events, depending on the season. During the holidays, there is a popular lights display throughout the garden.

Depending on the time of the year, there may even be an impressive bloom on when visiting the garden. Springtime is a very popular season and things are frequently packed, but Garven Woodland Gardens are beautiful year-round. Many visitors bring their dogs, who must stay on leashes, as well as picnic lunches to enjoy in the number of designated picnic areas around the gardens.
