George on the Riverwalk is the only place one can “Dock and Dine” in Wilmington. Located right on the historic riverwalk in downtown Wilmington, the George features Southern Coastal Cuisine with a menu full of seafood options, as well as steaks and pastas.

Famous dishes at the George include: the Cape Fear Chicken and Shrimp, with the lightly battered main ingredients mingling with fresh tomatoes in a white wine sauté; George’s Shrimp and Grits, the restaurant’s signature dish; the Island Mahi, in a coconut pineapple sauce and served with fried bananas; and the Fort Fisher Filet, balsamic glazed grilled beef with mushroom risotto cakes on the side.

Lunch and dinner are served from Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday brunch takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free parking passes are available upon request. Reservations are only accepted for parties of 8 or larger. Otherwise, seating is done on a first-come, first served basis.
