George Square in Scotland, named for the former king of England, sits in the center of Glasgow.
The famed site of the infamous Black Friday riot, and many demonstrations over the years, today George Square a boisterous
and lively tourist attraction. Lining the edges of George Square are several sites of interest.

The crowning jewel of these sites is the Glasgow City Chambers. Commissioned by Queen Victoria, in 1888 the building has
operated as the meeting place of the city counsel ever since. The building offers marble hallways, and of course Victorian
era architecture.
