The Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort is a manor house from the 19th century situated on the banks of the River Maigue in the village of Adare in Limerick in Ireland. It is now a five star hotel which includes a huge parkland area, an equestrian centre and the famous Adare Golf Club.

It was voted as Ireland’s Leading Hotel in 2006 so if you want to take a holiday break on one of the most luxurious places in Europe, then the Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort might just be the one for you.

Among the main attractions of Adare is the ruin of Desmond Castle from the 13th century along the banks of the Maigue River. It has a battlemented rampart complete with a drawbridge and the semicircular bastions.

The Adare Heritage Centre has cute little thatched cottages. Considered to be the prettiest of all the Irish villages, the credit goes to the third Earl of Dunraven, a philanthropist who was responsible for restoring several buildings. At the Adare Heritage Centre you also have the Adare Woollen Mills, the Tourist Information Centre, a craft centre, the public library and the Dovecot Restaurant.

The Trinitarian Monastery is the only one of its kind in Ireland and now serves as the Roman Catholic parish church of Adare.

Don’t miss the Irish Palatine Heritage Museum where the cultural heritage of the Irish Palatines or Germans descendants who settled in Germany is preserved.

The Kilcornan Karting will give you plenty of adventure from a fifteen minute arrive-and-drive sprint right up to a grand prix.
