The Adelaide Oval Stadium is located at War Memorial Drive at North Adelaide, between the city centre and North Adelaide. It is a sporting centre where major sporting events like rugby, cricket and football are held. In addition, due to its extra large capacity for audiences, it is a venue for music concerts as well.

Its history dates back in 1873 as a cricket ground, which makes it rightful that at present, it is managed by the South Australian Cricket Association. Its size is about 190m by 125m and has a seating capacity of about 34000 spectators. It has three main grandstands which are the Bradman Stand at the southern end, a one level stand and the newly finished Chappell Stands on the eastern side.

Modern electronic designs like the world class lighting systems are some new developments. It also has conference sites such as The Pavilion where conventions and gatherings can be held.

The Oval is one of many attractions for people to visit in North Adelaide. Visiting hours start at 10 a.m. on non-event days.
