Gothenburg Central Station

Gothenburg Central Station is the second railway station in Sweden after Stockholm Central Station and the main railway station in Gothenburg. It is located in the district of Inom Vallgraven at Drottningtorget and it was opened in 1858.

Now it is modern train station with sixteen tracks. It offers high-speed express trains to many cities and towns in Sweden and it takes just under three hours to get to Stockholm from this train station. Like many northern cities and train stations, this one is very safe, too.

In the station’s surrounding area can be found the Poseidon statue, Gothenburg city museum, the Maritime Museum, the Christiane Church and the Gothenburg Art Hall.

The Gothenburg City Airport is located at 30 minutes from the Central Station.
