Hotels near Greenville Airport, Greenville (Mississippi), United States .

The Greenville Airport, also known as the Mid-Delta Regional Airport, serves the greater Mississippi area with two runways that feature six taxiways. Opened in 1941 as an Army Air Corps training field, it was closed after the end of World War II and reopened again during the Korean War, where once again it was used to train pilots. In 1965 control was handed over to the city of Greenville and has since operated as a commercial airport. Presently, commercial air service is provided by Northwest Airlink, which offers two daily flights going to and arriving from Memphis, Tennessee. The aircraft used by Northwest Airlink is the Saab SF340, which seats 33 passengers. The airport is able to handle larger aircraft, as well as personal aircraft. The control tower is only staffed from 7am to 7pm. The airport features few amenities, but boasts that its employees give all travelers a taste of Southern hospitality. Nearby hotels include but are not limited to the Hampton Inn Greenville, the Ramada Greenville and Econo Lodge of Greenville.
