While being an unimpressive building, the Greenville Amtrak Station, in the town of the same name in South Carolina, has a long history. The current building was built as a replacement for a former Southern Railway depot located east of the station which still exists today. 16,897 passengers board and alight at the station each year. The station is a stop on the Crescent line, which offers daily trips between New York City and New Orleans. This service offers coach seating as well as sleeper service.

The station does not sell tickets and is only open before and after train arrivals: Midnight to 7:30am and then 9:30pm to 11:59pm. There is no baggage checking at the station or amenities beyond a public restroom and payphone.
