Greenville Avenue is an entertainment district in Dallas, Texas. Mockingbird Lane splits what would be “Greenville” into “Upper Greenville” falling on the north side of Mockingbird and “Lower Greenville” on the south side. Upper Greenville tends to be a bit more upscale, and residentially-based, while Lower Greenville is a more raucous, nightlife-based community, popular with the younger crowd from nearby Southern Methodist University.

Lower Greenville stretches along Greenville Avenue from Mockingbird Lane to Belmont Avenue, with the area south of Belmont Avenue popularly referred to as “Lowest Greenville.” The area is host to a number of bars, restaurants, and music clubs, which have gained popularity amidst the declining attraction of neighboring Deep Ellum. Especially notable are the St. Patrick’s Day festivities of the area, with Upper Greenville hosting a popular parade, and Lower Greenville hosting a more popular street party.
