Located in Upstate South Carolina, midway between the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg on I-95, the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport provides commercial air service on a number of carriers. The airport opened in 1962, and it was the first non-military airport to have a center line lighting system on the runways. The restaurant has full service restaurants and snack bars, and large windows bathe it in natural light. The airport also has a business center and a conference center with audiovisual equipment. The northern part of the airport is home to a 120,000 square foot FedEx facility. This facility can sort up to 3000 packages per hour.

Alamo, Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, and Budget all have rental counters at the airport. Long term parking ranges from $7 to $10 per day, depending on the location.
