Grijpskerk

Grijpskerk is a railway station located in the Dutch city Groningen.

The station is located on Staatslijn B (Harlingen-Nieuweschans) and was opened on 1st 1866. Groningen - Leeuwarden was part of Line B of the State Railways. Grijpskerk got a fifth class default drive. The first station was replaced in 1881 by a new building remained in use until 1976. It was then replaced by a new Beylen-type station. In the nineties the station was decommissioned. The train was rented to an artist who settled in a studio. Today, Arriva operates the train station.

Three major destinations are possible from Grijpskerk: Buitenpost, Groningen and Leeuwarden. The station has two accessible platforms and free car parking. The station also provides bike facilities.
