Grou-Jirnsum

Grou-Jirnsum is a railway station from the Dutch town Grouw and Irnsum. Until 1989 the station was called Grouw-Irnsum, and then the name adapted to the Frisian names of the places that serve this station.

The station is located on Staatslijn A (Arnhem-Leeuwarden) and the train service is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station dates from 1868. The original station building is empty from September 2009, till then housing a restaurant.

An Intercity train to Zwolle-Amersfoort-Schiphol which stops at all stations to Zwolle runs every hour. The major destinations possible from this train station are Heerenveen, Leeuwarden, Zwolle, Amesrfoot, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Hilversum (For Amsterdam).
