The African American Research Library and Cultural Center is a general and research public library, part of the Broward County public library system, and holds over 75,000 works documenting the experience of people of African descent in the Americas.

Located at 2650 Sistrunk Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, the library holds literary collections, artifacts from Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean, a business center, a career center and special exhibits. Many seminars and lectures are given at the cultural center, which also houses a 5,000 square foot museum. Notable collections include the Alex Haley Collection and the Dorothy Porter Collection, as well as the Harlem Renaissance Catalog. The library is open 10 to 8 from Mon to Wed and 10 to 6 Thurs. to Sat. (closed Sunday).
