Hamburg Hauptbahnof is Hamburg’s central raillway station.

There are permanent InterCityExpress lines to Bremen, Frankfurt and Berlin. ICE trains are connecting Hamburg with Aarhus and Copenhagen in Denmark and Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein to the north. all passengers to or from Scandinavia must change in Hamburg (except when using night trains) because the station is a hub for international travel.
