Additionally, the burn unit at Harborview is one of the largest and most renowned in the U.S., and the neurology, neurosurgery, and orthopedics units are all ranked within the top 20 in the country. The hospital is the only Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma and burn center in the States of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and Washington, meaning that many such patients are flown to Harborview by medical helicopter.
