The Agrodome Sheep Show is part of The Agrodome Show in New Zealand. The Agrodome is located around 9.5 kilometers away from the city centre of Rotorua in New Zealand along the Western Road of the city. The Agrodome was created in 1971 by Godfrey Bowen a world renowned sheep shearer and George Harford, a beef and diary farmer.

The Agrodome was awarded the New Zealand Tourism Award in 1994 as the country’s best visitor attraction. As of now, the Agrodome is a 160 hectare farm with 1,200 sheep and 120 beef cattle.

The Sheep Show is one of the most famous and visited attractions of the park. It is a one hour show that is held at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily. The show involves showing the visitors one of the agricultures of New Zealand, sheep.

The show provides information about the art of sheep shearing, sheepdog demonstrations, cow milking, lamb bottle feeding and a sheep auction. Other attractions in the Agrodome include the Organic Farm Tour, Organic Kiwifruit Orchard, Woolen Mill, Shearing Shed, the Agrojet, Rotorua Bungy, Swoop, Agropass and the Freefall Extreme.

The Agrodome is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday of the year. Hotels in the area include the Novotel Rotorua Lakeside, SilverOaks Hotel Geyserland, Heritage Rotorua, Sudima Hotel Lake Rotorua, Rydges Rotorua, Union Victoria Motel and Millenium Rotorua.
