The Harrisburg Amtrak Station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, services the Keystone and Pennsylvanian Amtrak routes extending from New York to Philadelphia to Harrisburg, and New York to Philadelphia to Pittsburg, respectively. This station also connects to many intercity bus routes, as well as Capital Area Transit, a local public transit operator. In the past, the site was home to 2 separate predecessors, both shared by the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Reading Railroad, Northern Central Railway, and the Cumberland Valley Railroad. The third station, which is that still being used today, was built in 1887 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In walking distance of downtown Harrisburg, including the Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex, Pennsylvania state Capitol Building, Strawberry Square, the Whitaker Center science and arts center, and Forum Place theater, the Harrisburg Amtrak Station is truly located in the heart of the action. Harrisburg is also very close to the famous Hershey Park.

The station and waiting area are open from 4:30am to 11:59pm weekdays, from 6:30am to 7:15pm Saturdays, and from 6:30am to 8:30pm on Sundays. The ticketing office runs the same hours as the station on weekends, and from 4:30am to 8:30pm on weekdays. Downtown Harrisburg hotels include the Hilton Harrisburg, Fairfield Inn, Comfort Inn Riverfront, Radisson Hotel Camp Hill, and the Crowne Plaza Hotel Harrisburg-Hershey.
