Serving the community since 1898, it was once where the Signal Corps of the U.S. Army were stationed. Today, the airport has a single terminal and runway, and a new Multi-Modal Transportation Facility designed to handle all forms of ground transportation, including hourly and daily short term parking, as well as long term parking (both beginning at $1.10 per hour), shuttles, rental vehicles, taxis, limos, and buses- both public and charter. It is serviced by major airlines Air Canada, Air Tran Airways, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways.

While in Harrisburg, visit downtown attractions like the Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex, Pennsylvania state Capitol Building, Strawberry Square, the Whitaker Center science and arts center, and Forum Place Theater.
