The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum of Palm Springs is meant to preserve and interpret the history and culture of the Agua Caliente Band of the Cahuilla Indiana and other Cahuilla peoples. Founded in1992, the museum presents exhibitions, lectures, films, tours and workshops throughout the year. Its extensive collection of baskets, ceramics, tools and other artifacts renders it an important site of historic interest. Its changing exhibitions explore various aspects of Cahuilla culture and history.

The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum also contains over 50,000 artifacts from the oldest and largest archaeological village site in its Tahquitz Canyon Archaeological Collection. Scholars are invited to make contact with the museum to work with the materials and artifacts that form a part of this collection that are not always on display. Those who are not experts in the subject but are interested should also check into the education programs available at the museum.

The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum located in downtown Palm Springs is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5:00 p.m. from Labor Day to Memorial Day. In the summer months, it is closed Monday through Thursday. Admission to the museum is free.
