Havre Amtrak Station

The third-busiest Amtrak station in Montana, the Havre Amtrak Station (HAV) is situated on the north end of downtown Havre. Originally built in 1907 to serve the Great Northern Railway, the Havre Amtrak Station displays an original 4-8-4 Great Northern Railway steam locomotive, as well as a statue of James J. Hill, the developer of the railway.

Owned by Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway (BNSF), the Havre Station serves almost 18,000 rail passengers annually, and is situated on the Empire Builder Line of the Amtrak rail system. The Empire Builder gives Havre passengers access to Seattle, Washington to the west, and Chicago, Illinois, to the east. The station is within short walking distance of First Bank Park, the Montana State University Northern campus, and a large number of restaurants.

The Havre Amtrak Station is located at 235 Main Street in Havre, Montana. The station includes a baggage check, and does have on-site parking, available to passengers free of charge.
