Heatherhill Stables is a long established family run Equestrian Centre situated in beautiful Ballskelligs, Ring of Kerry, Republic Of Ireland. It has so much to offer the riders, for instance, an excellent range of horses and ponies to suit all ages and abilities, novice and experienced.
Tourists can experience the breathtaking scenery on a 1, 2, or 3 hour scenic trail. The 2 hour forest trail includes open bog land, rich farmlands and idyllic forest tracks. Heatherhill Stables specialises in beach trekking on miles of golden sand and on forest trails.
The centre is opened from May to September, offering a variety of facilities: trail riding, jumping enclosure, outdoor ménage, jumping arena, picnic rides, mountain treks, beach treks, pony club, car park, toilets, changing rooms and many more.
Nearby attractions include Siopa Chill Rialaig (amazing art centre linked to Cill Rialaig artists retreat), the popular Ballinskelligs Watersports (choose between a day trip by boat to the Skellig Islands, diving at the Skellig islands or sea angling), and Skelligs Chocolate Co.( an artisan producer of handmade chocolates). There are also walking routes (such as Kerry Way), cycling routes, diving, riding, angling activities, and Valentia Island sea sports.
Following the N7 main Dublin Limerick road through Caherciveen and then taking the 3rd right turn for Ballinskelligs will get tourist to Heatherhill Stables.
