Helmond

Helmond is a railway station, located on line E, on route between Eindhoven and Venlo, The Netherlands. The station was opened on October 1, 1866. It is the main station in Helmond where does stop one Intercity train.

The first station has been there from 1864 to 1987. This was a Type 4 Standard Station. This type of station was designed for smaller sites. The building was high and rectangular with a gable in the middle part. The architect of this type of station was Brederode. The current station was built on 1987.

The station is located near the town’s center. At the square are arriving and departing city buses to and from the station. The center of Helmond is within a walking distance.

Besides the bus station are also both an unsupervised and a secure bicycle parking available at the station in Helmond. Furthermore there is a Q-Park car park manager at the northeast side of the track, behind the building of the Tax.

Train services are by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and the station has two platforms. The major destinations possible from here are Eindhoven and Venlo. The Intercity trains run with a frequency of two per hour like the stoptrains.

The station is also an important bus station so here stop both city and regional buses. The buses destinations are Eindhoven, Someren, Boxmeer NS, Deurne, Eeuwsels, Mierlo-Hout and Straavken.
