Found in the deliciously-named town of Sandwich, Massachusetts are the Heritage Museums & Gardens. Including museums of art, American history and automobiles as well as extensive garden space, it is a natural and cultural sight to see.

Each part of the Heritage Museums & Gardens presents its own unique offering. The gardens and grounds are best known for the thousands of rhododendrons found there, most appreciated when in bloom from Memorial Day Weekend to mid-June. The American History Museum is housed in a replica of a Revolutionary War building. It hosts several seasonal exhibits each year as well as permanent showings of American military miniatures and firearms. The art museum also hosts seasonal exhibitions, though its main attraction is a hand-carved carousel. The automobile museum showcases an extensive collection of American antique cars sure to impress any auto-lover.

The museum is open for general visitation from April through October each year. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission prices are $12.00 for adults with discounts for senior citizens and children.
