Heumaden

Incorporated as a city on April 1, 1937, Heumaden is a district in Stuttgart, Germany. Spanning an area of 3.31 square kilometers, it is one of the largest districts in the area. There are historical records of the city from as early as 1120.
It was only in 1937 that Heumaden was made a part of Stuttgart and until then it was an independent residential settlement, since the Second World War. During the two world wars it was mainly used for combating aircrafts because of its strategic location.
Old Church, built in 1499, is one of the most important attractions of Heumaden. More than a tourist spot, the church serves as the local parish and is often visited by the residents of the district.
Heumaden, owing to its strategic location is easily accessible to people. It is only 6 kilometers away from the Stuttgart airport as well as the center of Stuttgart. It’s well connected by road and rail as well to the rest of the country.
