Heuston Train Station is one of the major railway stations in Dublin, and operates in the west, southwest and south of Ireland, linking the very heart of Dublin to the whole country. The station is located on St. John’s Road, in the close proximity of Phoenix Park House and offers tourists a safe way to travel across the country.

Heuston Train Station has been around ever since August 1846. At the time, it was the largest building in he world. It was initially called Kingsbridge, but renamed in 1966 after Sean Heuston, who used to work in the station offices. The original building still houses the railway station, after being renovated and enlarged. Two branches of Eason’s, as well as a pub, a Supermacs and other dining facilities were added, as the Heuston Train Station was modernised.

The closest airport to the station is the Dublin Airport.
