Historic Locust Grove is located in the northeastern portion of the city of Louisville, Kentucky. It is a 55-acre plot of farmland that is listed as a National Historic Landmark due to its cultural relevance in local and national history. On the grounds of Historic Locust Grove, visitors will discover an imposing and gorgeous Georgian mansion built in 1790 (approximately) that was previously occupied by the original owners of the estate, the Croghan family. The farm and the mansion were the meeting place of various US presidents over the years, and was an important stop along the Lewis and Clark expedition of the early 1800s.

Historic Locust Grove currently serves as the venue for various historical interpretation and reenactment events, generally led by Historic Locust Grove Incorporated, which runs the site in collaboration with the local Louisville Metro government authority. Tours of the site are available to the public, and the hours of operation are 10am-4:30pm from Mondays through Saturdays, and from 1pm-4:30pm on Sundays.
