The Historic Wilmington Foundation was founded in 1966 to preserve the cultural and historic architectural heritage of the Lower Cape Fear region of North Carolina. Over the years, this non-profit organization has saved more than 100 properties from demolition. The foundation provides educational programs and encourages community involvement in order to promote historic preservation of the area´s architectural gems.
