Hollandsche Rading Train Station is located on the middle of the route between Utrecht and Hilversum, near the city of Hollandsche, a small city in the Dutch province of Utrecht, part of the municipality of De Bilt. The actual train station lies exactly at the border of two of Netherlands’ provinces. Thus, the southbound train call at Platform 1, which lies in the province of Utrecht, and the northbound train call at Platform 2, in the north Holland province. The name – Hollandsche – can be translated in Dutch as Holland border.

The Hollandsche Train Station was opened on the 10th of June, 1874, and so far, it had a peaceful, quiet existence. The original building is still housing the station, with the difference that the wooden ties were replaced by concrete ones in March 2005.
