Getting to Alaska from the mainland is much easier than it has been in recent years, but can be a bit of a dog and pony show for travelers heading places outside of the main cities. One of the easiest ways to get to more remote areas of Alaska is by plane, and a number of smaller airports make travel less complicated for adventurers and outdoors-loving people, as well as for Alaska locals returning from travel.

Located a couple of miles away from Homer, a small town on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. The airport is mostly for public use, though a few commercial flights do fly in and out on a daily basis.
